Welcome to Murdock Park, New York, an upper middle-class suburb where appearances are everything, no one locks their doors, and everybody knows everybody—or so they think. When a local man is found dead, with all the hallmarks of a ritual murder, the illusion of security of Murdock Park is shattered. Residents are forced to ask not only who, but why? Rumors begin to surface, stories of shadows darting across night-darkened lawns and midnights haunted by distant chanting. With no easy answers, it's almost starting to seem possible that there really is a cult at work in Murdock Park.
