It had been exactly three weeks and four days since Dooriya dyed her hair dark, and she had only recently become accustomed to it. Unfortunately that went with the territory, though. When one was always on the run, always hiding from some unfathomable force, disguises were a necessity. Before that she had been blond, and quite frankly she liked being a blond much better. Oh well, at least she got to change her style every time she changed her hair. If she always wore the same thing, that would be far too obvious. Surely it has been guess by now, that Miss Baille was a jumper. Not by choice, of course, and she didn't even like her little 'gift'. Perhaps if she had some talent in the department, but that just wasn't the case. She assumed her lack of talent had something to do with the fact that she was so clumsy, but either way, she only jumped when it was a necessity. Her trip to China had been one of those necessities. While it wasn't one hundred percent confirmed, Dori had a feeling that she was being followed when she went for a trip to visit her family, although visit wasn't even the right term. Whenever she went to see them, she didn't actually let her presence known, as that would be far too dangerous.
When she traveled, which was very rare, because she had a safe haven in the states, she did so by airplane or train or whatever means possible that didn't involve jumping. In fact, she had taken a boat to get to Ireland, because being secluded on the ocean somehow made her feel safe. However, her trip to China was a means of escape. She had been only once before, and she had a place to stay, but getting there was the problem. Even though it wasn't her first trip to China, specifically Beijing, she preferred to look at a picture of the restaurant that she always traveled to, which was also the place that she stayed when she was visiting. There was an apartment above it that was vacant. Normally she wouldn't pick such a crowded area to hide out in, but in her circumstance it was better to be around a bunch of people than very few. It would be harder to find her that way.
Concentrating as hard as she could, Dori found herself standing behind the building that she was trying to jump inside of, only seconds after standing in an alley in Ireland. Oh well, at least she didn't jump into plain view. The scar that she created lasted for a much shorter period of time than usual, which delighted her to no end, but she needed to get inside and out of view. Thankfully her tote still hung on her shoulders, as it contained pretty much everything that she needed, which consisted of money, clothes and cigarettes. She only brought a few changes of clothes with her, because she had no intention on staying in China more than a day or two. If it came to staying longer than that, she would have to buy something else.
Moving inside of the restaurant, she ordered herself a small plate of chicken and rice, but decided to eat it outside rather than in. The fresh air certainly wouldn't kill her, and her guard wasn't as high as it was when she was in Ireland. Digging through her purse, she had to find the right currency for her current country, and unlike some Jumpers, she didn't keep much money on her. She would never risk jumping through a bank vault or something that could ultimately get her caught. She had a little more than what she needed for the meal, so she also got herself some tea. Once her meal was handed to her, she exited the building and found a bench to sit on. Before eating, she dug through her purse once again to get out her pack of cigarettes and her lighter. Yes, it was quite odd that she was eating and smoking at the same time, but she didn't have any time to waste, and she didn't want to go another hour or so without smoking. [/size]
